Our next production is the celebrated farce
CAUGHT IN THE NET
by Ray Cooney
John Smith is a bigamist. He has happily kept his two families apart, one in Streatham and the other in Wimbledon, for fifteen years, each blissfully unaware of the other. However, his teenage children – a boy and a girl by each wife – have met on the Internet and are determined to meet each other because they have much in common – same surname, taxi-driver dad, same age, etc! When it dawns on John that they are about to meet he plunges into a hell-hole of his own making as he tries to keep them apart. His saviour could be Stanley, his lodger, who is about to take his decrepit father on holiday.
This is a hilarious farce which will keep you splitting your sides with laughter from start to finish.
